Happy New Year from Weird Fish

Share

As we draw to the end of 2022, we are reflecting on all the wonderful memories made in the past year. From a scorching heatwave in the summer, wild swimming and long dog walks, to crunchy autumn leaves, cosy knitwear and pumpkin soup, it’s been a great one! We are looking forward to 2023 and the joy and new adventures that will come with it.

This year has been a busy one at the Weird Fish HQ. We’ve opened four new stores in Matlock, Horsham, Lancashire and Canterbury and have been overwhelmed by the support of our Shoal both online and in-store. We have introduced some benefits to your experience as a customer and you can now choose your delivery preference, either Royal Mail or Evri. Alternatively, you can choose to Click & Collect.

Our social media pages have been so popular this year and we have loved seeing you style your favourite Weird Fish clothes on Instagram and Facebook. We have given away something special each week through our Freebie Friday giveaway and launched countless partnerships and giveaways with our favourite brands, making 2022 packed full of Weird Fish fun. We especially love our partnership with Sandford Park Lido in Cheltenham, as we sponsor their uniforms each year and donate prizes for their summer events. Make sure to follow our socials to get involved and hopefully win some prizes in 2023!

Throughout 2022, we visited some incredible locations to shoot our collections, Destinations, Snapshots of Summer and Unplug and Unwind. Our fun and creative campaigns took us to the sandy beaches in Costa Rica, the golden streets of Sicily and the scenic landscape of the Lofoten Islands in Norway. We also relaunched our blog where you can find delicious recipes, behind the scenes photos as well as wonderful stories from our Weird Fish Heroes.

Our partnership with Green Story helps us to highlight the positive impact of our organic cotton products and we are amazed to see the environmental impact of switching to more sustainable materials. We have avoided 789,325 kilometres of driving emissions and saved 32,273,746 days of drinking water.

Lastly, we would like to thank you for supporting our charity partnerships. We raised over £32k for RSPB this year through our limited-edition artist t-shirts which takes our total up to £306k! We have also donated over 5000 items of end of line stock to the Newlife charity, which not only raises funds for disabled and terminally ill children across the UK, but is also a more environmentally friendly solution, by avoiding landfill. Additionally, we took part in a 5 Minute Beach Clean in Costa Rica which you can read about on our blog. We are so proud of the work we do with charities and are grateful to everyone who supports us.

Thank you for being part of the Shoal in 2022, so let’s raise a glass for a New Year full of fun and cheer.
