Fuerteventura

Average Winter temperature: 18°

For a relaxed break away, why not head over to the Canary Islands. During the winter months, whilst Lanzarote and Tenerife are still busy, Fuerteventura offers a retreat from the crowds without being a ghost town. The gorgeous landscape and sandy shores are perfect for soaking up the warm weather. Make sure to head to Costa Calma to watch some spectacular sunsets.

Cyprus

Average Winter temperature: 22°

Situated to the east of the Mediterranean Sea, the beautiful country of Cyprus offers t-shirt weather all year round. This is a great option for a family holiday, as it is quieter in the winter and spring but the rugged mountains and picturesque countryside are even more enjoyable out of the tourist season.

Cape Town

Average Winter temperature: 22°

Cape Town is a great option for your winter getaway. With a two hour time difference from the UK, this port city on South Africa’s port coast offers lots of fun activities to get stuck in to. Take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain to enjoy sweeping views of the city and various boats taking tourists to Robben Island, the famous prison that once kept Nelson Mandela prisoner and is now a museum.

Canggu, Bali

Average Winter temperature: 28°

Need to relax after the busy Christmas period and dull January, Canggu has everything you could need for a peaceful escape. Worlds away from the lively, party side of the island, Canggu has black sand beaches and plenty of boho beach clubs, yoga dens and healthy cafes. Take a trip to Ubud while you’re visiting and stop off at rainforest and waterfalls on your way to temples rich in heritage.

The Seychelles

Average Winter temperature: 27°

For a luxury escape, why not visit the Seychelles. This archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean is home to endless plush, private-island resorts. With blissful beaches, crystal-clear sea and colourful coral reefs, this location is ideal catching some winter sun, but make sure you go in February to avoid the monsoon season. The Seychellois culture is one-of-a-kind and Creole food will tingle your tastebuds.
