Hero of the month January 2019

We are very proud to announce the return of our Hero of the Month programme. Each month we celebrate the weird and wonderful, from people who are key fundraisers in their community, to people with the coolest jobs. People that go outside the norm, swim against the shoal if you will, and do something fun or extraordinary.

This month we are celebrating Craig Webb from Hertfordshire. We first spotted Craig on Instagram when he tagged us in a post, he had been climbing Mount Snowdon in a freezing fog, wearing his trusty Weird Fish jacket. Soon we noticed more and more posts from Craig on fantastic travels all over the UK and abroad, and we knew he was a man after our own hearts.

Out of Hibernation

Outofhibernation

It can be difficult to feel motivated in January/February, the warm, fuzzy Christmas feeling is well and truly over, you want to feel motivated, but it is still cold and wintery, it is hard to know what to do with yourself. Here at Weird Fish we think it best to get stuck in and embrace the sometimes damp, chilly weather, after all they do say “There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad weather clothing”, so with that in mind grab your favourite cosy jumper, a waterproof jacket, pull on those wellies, and get out there to enjoy the fresh air.

Best Places in the UK to visit this Summer

We have some guest bloggers writing for us today, travel bloggers and Weird Fish lovers, Nico and Vicky aka The Travellings Mooseys.

Nico & Vicky

Since meeting each other during Newcastle University’s fresher week, nearly seven years ago, Vicky and I have never spent a day apart! We have explored the world together and will continue to do so. In-between pretending we are Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider, we both enjoy a range of cool, sometimes nerdy hobbies and interests!

We hope you enjoy our article and if you would like to read more articles written by us, you can find us here: www.thetravellingmooseys.com

Behind the Scenes of the Weird Fish Winter Photo Shoot Dec 2016

Before Christmas last year we took our photography team on an outing to photograph our newly arriving Macaroni range. We headed down to Kent to the charming village of Benenden and also the long, fine sand beach – Camber Sands.

Our first stop was the beautiful converted Old Smock Windmill  a fantastic setting in the Kent countryside.
